[tex-live] circ font incompatible with mf

TeX Live 2008's version of Metafont doesn't like TeX Live 2008's
version of the circ fonts (specifically,
texmf-dist/fonts/source/public/circ/defcirc.mf).  The problem seems to
be the inner "bye", which is the same problem I reported in October
for the universal font (cf. the "universal font incompatible with mf"
thread on the tex-live list).  The solutions proposed then by Dan
Luecking work for circ, too.
