[tex-live] Bad conversion from eps to pdf; low color saturation

Hi all,
I'm trying to convert a eps file generated using gnuplot to eps and I have
some problems regarding color conversion.

The eps file has vertical color bar on the right that looks fine when
opened with Preview on Mac OS X. However, when using epstopdf to convert it
to pdf, I get a low color saturation on that bar, while the rest is ok.

Please find attached:
thicknessmap-inc.eps (the gnuplot generated file)
thicknessmap-inc.pdf (converted using epstopdf)
and thicknessmap.pdf (converted using Preview on Mac OS X)

Of course I could always use Preview for the conversion, but I'd like to do
it using command-line tools.

I'm using texlive 2008, epstopdf 2.9.8gw and gs 8.6.2

Thanks

Miguel
