[tex-live] [OT] help with enumerate

Hi guys, 

sorry for the abuse, I know I shold contact c.t.t, but well ...

How can I circle *some* enumerated items in a enumerate?

Using \begin{enumerate} \item  \item \item[\textcircle{\theenumi.}] \item
is not good, it does not advance the item counter ...

Any easy ideas? I am using \usepackage{enumitem}
