Which made me think to try the following:

texlua "c:\Program Files\texlive\2008\texmf\scripts\texlive\texdoc.tlu"
texdoc

and this one works too.

The good news is, this stuff is getting more rational. The bad news is,
it looks like something is going wrong with our wrapper scripts for win32.

Siep (or any oather win32-wrappers expert), can you please comment on this?
