Yep. Not that we don't want to, but we need to save time. When I can
reasonnably assume I understand how a package should be installed
without reading instructions, I proceed. I read instructions only when I
don't manage to figure out things myself. As we most probably all do.

Well, I (usually) try to read instructions before complaining on a
mailing list :-) (But there are exceptions, of course.)
