[tex-live] subversion sparse checkouts

In the past, a few people asked about doing "excludes" when checking out
the subversion tree, for instance to skip all the binaries they are not
interested in.  Well, subversion still doesn't support excludes
directly, but as of 1.5 it has another way to accomplish the same end:
sparse checkouts:
http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.5/svn.advanced.sparsedirs.html

The idea is that you can hand-craft your checkout and avoid the
all-or-nothing recursion.
