[tex-live] latest tl2008 snapshop installation script: can't call method "depends" on undefined value

The latest (July 7) TL 2008 developer snapshot installation script seems
to be having some trouble:

  $ sudo ./install-tl 
  Platform: universal-darwin => 'universal binaries for MacOSX/Darwin'
  Distribution: net  (downloading)
  Directory for temporary files: '/tmp'
  Installer directory: '.'
  Using URL http://ctan.math.utah.edu/ctan/tex-archive/systems/texlive/tlnet/tldev
  Loading http://ctan.math.utah.edu/ctan/tex-archive/systems/texlive/tlnet/tldev/tlpkg/texlive.tlpdb
  Can't call method "depends" on an undefined value at ./install-tl line 599.

Any ideas what might be happening here?  (By the way, what happened to i386-darwin?)
