[tex-live] problem with file

I have a file that we need the text from and no one has the software to
open this can anyone help.

The file has a .tex extension. If anyone can help please E-mail me at
the University of Florida.

I am not including the file because I do not want anyone to think it is
a virus. If you want to send your email or phone I will contact you
either way.
