I agree with Frank that acronym is useful not only for those working
in the humanities. However, if I got it right, we could say humanities
requires latexextra, but not vice versa, right? So if a user can do
without the humanities packages he still can install latexextra only.

Unfortunately there was *one* poster who was taking part in the then
discussion and who later admitted he didn't know TL at all ...
