[tex-live] Suggestion for future releases

Would it be possible to put in some verification in the Catalogue
files? Pretty much all of the links in the catalogue pointing to
locally installed documentation files have a wrong "file:" URL
pointing into some non-existing directory.
It is not like I could remember this ever being different in TeXlive.
One always had to try the link, ask a shell to locate the base file
name from the "non-existing URL" message, and then open that.
Since the catalogue is quite often what you get as output from
"texdoc", and it sometimes _does_ present a good idea of what the
documentation files for a particular package actually are, it is a bit
sad to have this totally defective.
