In my view, the problem is *not* to get a list of documentation files,
but to group them in a sensible order based on use cases (texdoctk has
"Mathematics", "Slides", "Macro programming", "Fonts" and the like) and
(ideally) to also get some short description for each document
(texdoctk.dat contains such a description for each document).
