picins from CTAN/macros/latex209/contrib/picins might still be useful, I don't have an objection in principle to including stuff written for latex209, but I was told that picins was nonfree. (I can't read the German and don't remember the details any more.) I removed it back on 2005/10/26 for that reason, according to the logs. karl
