Can you please please verify that everything is ok with your setup?
I have done a p4 sync just now to pull in the babel changes and voila,
all the babel files became -r--------

All the times when it happened to me it was from a change made by you.
But I have no idea if it is a misconfiguration on my client or yours or
none at all. Maybe we should check the clients:

My p4 client gives me these options:
noallwrite clobber nocompress unlocked modtime rmdir

[~] p4 -V
Perforce - The Fast Software Configuration Management System.
Copyright 1995, 2004 Perforce Software. All rights reserved.
Rev. P4/LINUX24X86/2004.2/69739 (2004/10/01).

I really want to get this fixed. Nobody else is seeing this problem?
Only me? Strange.

Best wishes from a bit desparate

Norbert
