My distribution is based on TL2004 and teTeX (for the texmf tree). My  
texmf tree is based on tetex-texmf-2.99.3.20041109-beta.tar.gz, or the  
beta from Nov 8. If anything (see dates in header) it looks newer but  
it *is* different.

My redistribution is based on a combination of TeX Live and teTeX (for  
the texmf tree, because Thomas' texmf tree is well balanced and has a  
size that can be handled by internet downloads (which is not true for  
TeX Live)). Not so much old and new. Both are from november 2004.
