Fortunately all our `user computers' are i386/linux, and I also compile
the binaries myself for alpha and i386.

I couldn't find a description of the change made to dvips, I guess it is
about TEXCONFIG and where to find map files, isn't it? The perforce
change description was a bit short.

I am used to problems, nobody will kill me here, I am not paid at all,
neither is the second admin -- that's live on the university.
