I have fixed that today. Sorry, only half the perl files were okay (the
context ones were not).

About the read-only thing: yes that's a bad effect of the cdrom I can't
simulate easily. I had to explicitly reset the read-only attribute when
unzipping files.

There is a problem with this RO thing under NT/2K/XP. A file can have
the RO attribute and have permissions associated with it if under
NTFS. NTFS permissions work with access lists and a file my be writable
by someone and only readable by someone else. But the RO attribute still
exists for compatibility with FAT/FAT32 and W9X. If a file is RO under
NT, it is RO for everybody, even the administrator. And you have to
manually use the 'attrib' command to reset it before being able to
overwrite the file.

There is no clever conversion from Unix permissions to Windows
permissions. So under Windows, the best I can do is to harm people as
less as possible and reset this RO attribute that is much annoying.

I'll check for the demo and live cdroms what happens.

If someone has a better solution, please speak up.

Fabrice
