But I don't see how it can fix the problem: afaik, nobody as ever
touched bibtex8 since TL7. _But_ kpathsea strategy has changed between
TL7 and TL2003. And it is the actual problem : kpathsea has broken
bibtex8. 

As far as win32 is concerned, you probably won't be able
to mix TL7 bibtex8.exe with TL2003 tl80kpse.dll .
