One more note (sorry to overwhelm the list).  For me, actually, the slant
font never shows up correctly where it *should*, since for me, the
PostScript name in the map file is listed as ptmro8r, but the actual
*font's* font name is NimbusRomNo9L-Regu.  So perhaps my particular
copy of the map file is broken (since it should give the PostScript name
of the font as NimbusRomNo9L-Regu instead of ptmro8r).
