[tex-k] dynamically loading \patterns

This is already planned for ExTeX.  From

  http://www.extex.org/documentation/objectives.html :

"ExTeX on the other hand shall be able to load hyphenation patterns
globally at any time, i.e. it shall not be limited to hyphenation
tables that are stored in the format files. Therefore it will be
possible to load only those hyphenation tables at runtime that are
actually needed." 

I don't know whether they already started implementing this feature.
It is not mentioned in the "Development State" section. But probably
they can provide an answer to the question how hard it would be.
