try this. I must have a closer look for the two zeros. It is
a real bug, which appears only when the labels are on top of
the axis.

\begin{pspicture}(-9.5,0)(9.5,0)
\psaxes
[labelsep=4pt,yAxis=false,Dx=5,subticks=5]{<->}(0,0)(-9.5,0.1)(9.5,0.1)
\psline[linewidth=0.8pt,tbarsize=15pt]{-]}(-8.4,0)(0,0)
\psline[linewidth=0.8pt,tbarsize=15pt]{[-}(6,0)(8.4,0)
\psline[linewidth=1.8pt]{<-}(-8.4,0)(0,0)
\psline[linewidth=1.8pt]{->}(6,0)(8.4,0)
\end{pspicture}
