[metapost] mpost does not work

It seems the mpost.mem that is generated by fmtutil-sys is
shadowed behind another file with the same name. Kpsewhich
should be able to tell you which one that is:

  $ kpsewhich mpost.mem

If it reports a file, you can probably fix the problem by
deleting that file. If it reports nothing, then there is
a problem with your installation and if that is the case,
posting the output of

  $ mpost -kpathsea-debug=7 mismatch0.0001.mp

will help us help you better.
