[math-font-discuss] Determine the size of math formula

Hi,

I am generating Latex from my program. In this program I have to generate a picture environment; in this environment I to put some math expressions with images. Now I want to put my mathematical expressions at exact locations. But I do not know the size of the expressions. Could any body tell me how to caluclate the size of the mathematical expressions.
