Or use \usepackage{epstopdf} typeset your .tex file with pdflatex (no intermediate dvi). Then the conversion will be done (in the background) with a script called epstopdf. (Automatically)
An alternative is using the script epspdf for the conversion. Then try \usepackage{epspdfconversion}.
