Yes. And it's PDF viewer, as with the Adobe products, is independent  
from Apple's PDFkit.


BTW, it's a good idea to configure texdoc in a way that it uses your  
preferred PDF viewer and make it then the viewer in AUCTeX. This way  
you configure *one* utility for more than one application.
