Maybe
http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/exptl/biblatex-contrib/biblatex-chicago-notes-df/
is helpful. In the sample.pdf, there is actually no parenthesis
around the year of publication in the bibliography (see p. 8).
