I have in same environment, PPC, working:

     "Pdfbackground_B" = "0.96";
     "Pdfbackground_G" = "0.96";
     "Pdfbackground_R" = "0.94";
     "background_B" = "1.0";
     "background_G" = "0.97";
     "background_R" = "0.94";
     "foreground_B" = "0.00";
     "foreground_G" = "0.00";
     "foreground_R" = "0.00";

Klingon function calls do not have "parameters" - they have  
"arguments"- and they ALWAYS WIN THEM.
