[OS X TeX] Getting started with tlmgr

ah, one more thing!

Reading Herb's new document (thanks Herb!), reminded me that I had also 
tried the updating tlmgr first before running the updating of TeXLive 
itself. That gave me errors too, even when I did it after reinstalling 
the whole TeXLive install with tlmgr required Perl stuff.
