[OS X TeX] segmentation fault / bus error with mpm

I don't think anyone has 2.7 running on Leopard. I have tried for a 
while to make a Fink package for it, but the segfault is always there. 
Probably some nonstandard (or non-OSX-compatible) thread handling.
