You can also clean the font caches from the Tools menu of  
FontExplorerX (http://www.linotype.com/fontexplorerX), though the last  
version is pre-Leopard. My experience so far is that it works just  
fine under Leopard, but I haven't double-checked what the cache- 
cleaning is doing.
