About tex-live	English (USA)
TeX Live is a large collection of TeX and friends, distributed by the TeX user groups. For downloads, documentation, and all the rest, see the TeX Live home page. The TeX Live project is a joint effort by the TeX Users Group, the UK TeX Users group, the French TeX Users (GUTenberg), and the German TeX Users (DANTE e.V.), with the support of the Czech/Slovak, Danish, Dutch, Indian and Polish user groups, to provide group members with TeX Live CD-ROM, a ready-to-run TeX system in Unix and Windows 95/NT environments. This list is devoted to the discussion of the development issues of the TeX Live CD-ROM. The work is done by volunteers in their spare limited time and a great deal remains to be done. To post a message to all the list members, send email to tex-live@tug.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to tex-live
If you want and can help with producing the TeX Live, subscribe to tex-live by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
